Eggcelent news…the day has come for our chicks to hatch. I’m not yolking! Wednesday 27th of May will be the long awaited hatching day for the 6th class chicken eggs. Conor MgEggor, Glik Jr, Nugget, Damian Balboa, Chirps and Le Bron James will hopefully crack out of their shells tomorrow. I say hopefully because like anything in life, things can go wrong and they are not guaranteed to hatch. The eggs may not have been fertilized, the chick may have died in the early stages of development or the chick might not be strong enough to break through the shell. It’s all about learning about life cycles and how things don’t always go as planned….which is important for children to understand. The eggs have been incubating for 21 days and we have been keeping track of their progress as we went along. So fingers crossed for tomorrow and 6 healthy chicks! Anybody who wants to visit the chicks are more than welcome in 6th!
